11/5/11
Friends,
I am excited to share with you the following message from our Honduras
Mission Team, which landed in San Pedro Sula this evening at 5:30 p.m.
"We are back in Trinidad de Copan and are thankful for another safe trip.
All 17 of us have been warmly welcomed by a local family that is hosting
us for the week. Give thanks for Ileo, Irma, and Ilea. We have 4 rooms,
2 for 10 women and 2 for 7 men! Gloria (one half of the missionary couple
YPC supports) brought fruit trees to be planted at Cera Azul. We are
excited to be able to see this new pueblo and be part of it. Keep praying
that we will be able to convey our love, God's love for the Honduran
people, and help with the work they need and want.
Bendeciones y Amor!"
You will remember that a couple years ago our church gave the money for a
community of natives in Honduras to purchase land at Cera Azul. Before we
made this gift, the people had only been able to live on the land as
squatters. Now they are owners!
The team also reports that all their luggage arrived safely, the weather
is mild, and they are eager to begin their work.
Thanks be to God!
-David Pierce
What a treat team! Just arrived in Honduras and Nehemias loading up the suitcases to head to Trinidad.
